Observances commemorating the life of Danny Vega have been announced by Vega’s family.
Vega, a gay hairdresser who was well known in the Filipino-American community, died Nov. 27 of injuries he received when he was beaten and robbed by unknown assailants while taking a walk in his Rainier Valley neighborhood Nov. 15.
A viewing, rosary and eulogy will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Parish, 4212 S. Mead St., Seattle. A second viewing, rosary and eulogy will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Acacia Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way N.E., Seattle.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward Parish, followed by interment and blessings at 11:30 a.m. at Holyrood Cemetery, 205 N.E. 205th St., Shoreline, and by a reception at 12:30 p.m. at Hong Kong Buffet & Grill, 16549 Aurora Ave. N., Shoreline.
