You’re not caring about somebody’s health when you care about their weight, and you’re not honestly saying I want you to lose weight and be healthy.

You’re saying, I want you to lose weight and be better accepted into our fat-shaming society.

Big difference there, folks.

absolutely.  i teach nutrition and cooking to elementary school students, and i tell them as often as i can: healthy bodies come in all shapes and sizes.  this isn’t to say that your diet, activity levels, and energy balance aren’t important… it just means that there are MANY reasons why people have round bodies, and your fucked up ideals of “beauty” don’t belong anywhere near them.
